Battery Logo Designs - Alectirc

When thinking of a name of the battery, it was a huge challenge. One of the first names I came up with with was Alectric. The idea behind this was the battery gives electricity, and the 'A' represents the alkaline battery.
Some logo designs below....

The idea was then to take this idea and make it relate to the electric theme alot more. I did this by giving the type a neon light theme to it.

After reviewing different colours I felt that the idea wasn't going anywhere The reasons being that when thinking of the word electric, it does not really say battery, it relates more to plugs and eletctrical products.

Help Make the World Mini- 7 continents of the world- Air Freshners

After designing the flyers, I felt that I could make the tone of voice relate more to the topic of cars. In order to do this, instead of having just simple flyers, I felt it was apt to use these as air freshners and car stickers....

As well as using the continet outlines as airfreshners ( like the example of above), I also felt I would design an airfreshner of a blank mini. The idea behind this is that with each continent the person will get a blank mini also, which they can use it as an airfreshner or they can design their unique mini for that continent and then send it off to enter the competition. design ideas below....

Help Make the World Mini- 7 continents of the world- Flyers

Now was the development of the flyers for each continent. The idea is to use the shape of each continet as the flyer, each being double sided, ad like the poster, have a a blank mini driving out of the continent.

Layout ideas can be seen below for each continent....

Below are the final design for the front and back of the flyers....

Help Make the World Mini- 7 continents of the world- More Poster designs

The concept i wanted to try and portray through the posters, was the idea of the world being 'mini', as well as using the 7 blank minis within it as well ( the 7 minis that need to be designed)

1. Mini 'North America'
2. Mini 'South America'
3. Mini 'Europe'
4. Mini 'Africa'
5. Mini 'Asia'
6. Mini 'Antartica'
7. Mini 'Ocenia'

The Idea was to have the 7 minis looking like they are driving out of the 'mini' world. Examples of layout and scale below...

I then tried to see what it would look like if the 7 minis were not cut within the frame, instead allow the Mini's to overlap the frame, suggesting to the audience that the minis are driving from the 'mini' world towards them.

This idea was working a lot better, but doesn't really represent mini due to the colours. As the main mini colours are red and black in any poster campaign they put together, I descided to use these within my designs.

The solid black background is not working and neither do I feel using the red border as they do in many of the poster campaigns is working either.

After looking back at these designs, I felt something looked out of places, so  tried removing the border. Below is my final poster design, where the border has been removed totally.

Help Make the World Mini- 7 continents of the world

After re thinking how i am going to tackle this concept, I came up with the idea of using the 7 continents of the world. Not only did I feel this was a less complicated way of portraying the concept of making the world mini, but also I have decided to make this campaign more hands on as well, in order to help the audience engage more. The idea is to have a campaign advertising a competition, where the public can design one or more of the 7 continent of the world minis. After this competition there will be a traveling exhibition of the final 7 chosen minis, where the 7 will be recreated to a real mini, along side all the entries as well. This means I am able to expand this brief designing all the promotional material for the exhibition as well.

The first initial step was to design the posters for this campaign. My first initial ideas are below....

The first step I took was to look at using the map of the world...

After reviewing this first initial design, I felt the map was too compliacated so I decided to simplify the map of the world, by jsut outlining the 7 key continents, which can be seen below...

I then decided to use a different colour for each continents, make it easier for the audience to relate to...

Exploration of layouts and scales...

I do feel the idea is developing, but after reviewing the designs above I think they can be pushed a lot further.....

Help make the world mini

The concept I came up with was a competition campaign called 'Help Make the World Mini.' The idea behind this is to have an outlined shape of each country of the world as flyers, postcards etc... to spread the message like how many countries there are in the world, there is also as many mini combinations if not more.

Some initial design ideas are below for the first few countries in the world....

As you can see above, I encoorperated the colours of each corresponding countries flag to the shape of the actual country. Even though I felt I was getting somewhere with this concept, I felt that that the route of the countries wasn't really going anywhere, mainly due to the fact there is far to many countries, and therefor would cause the campaigns message to get a little bit lost.

Mini- Colour by numbers

My first initial idea was to have a poster campaign colour by numbers. The idea was to have giant scale interactive posters and also flyers, where by the public could interact by colour in each numbered section to the corresponding colour or design their own mini, by choosing which ever colour they felt they wanted. This idea was to portray across the idea that there is an unlimited amount of different colour combinations one can have.

A rough design is below....

After looking back at this idea, I just didnt feel it had a good enough concept behind it so back to the drawing board I went.
