Boards

Here are the selection of the first attempt of designs for my boards.

After my crit the feedback I got was the the images were not off enough quality, as well as landscape did not feel appropriate for this brief.

Final promotional material

Here are the selection of possible air freshners one can pick up in any mini store.

Photos of the final promotional material selection. As well as the sitckers and air freshners, another idea was the mini marker key rings for car keys, relating the three themes of the campaign, mini, colour and car.

Min Promotional material

Extending on the posters and combine with the colour theme with the idea it is a promotion for a car, the two ideas I had was for air freshners and car stickers.

The air freshners are colour by numbers, similar to the poster idea, as well as the car being splattered with paint.

Here are design layouts for the A6 flyer the air freshner will be attached to.

The idea is to have the continents of the world as the key, tying in with the world theme, and then having them blank in order that the consumer can make up their own colour key. The concept was to have a customised air freshner, relating to the promotion of customising your own mini.

The idea is to have the car stickers to represent paint spolges, so when they are stuck on the car they relate the necessary information, as well as portraying a similar idea what is represented in the poster campaign.

colour your world with mini poster development

The feedback I received was that using the limited colour palette of jsut red and black was limited, and to suggest the idea of the million combinations I should use a mored varied amount of colour.

Giving the poster a spray paint effect, but I felt it just looked blured and poor quality.

As well as having the colours exploding from the world, the other idea was to use the 7 continents as paint sploges on a paint palette, like you can see below.

Another idea was to use the effect that the images within the poster have been drawn by pencil crayon, tying in with the idea of the colour theme. The continents were meant to represent tyre marks, but I just felt that the concept was not as strong as previous ones.

Mini colour by numbers was another idea I came up with, so the potential consumer can interact with the design, as well as a point of sale aimed at children to then entice their parents in.

Poster development

AFter having my initial reviewed at the crit, the feedback I received was that the concept was too complicated due to merging all concepts in one. They felt that my original idea of colour by numbers was a successful concept, so therefor I went on and developed this further.

Changing the slogan to 'colour your world with mini', I felt this really fitted within the theme of promoting to potential and existing consumers that there are so many different combinations where you can design your own mini.

Below are the initial ideas for posters, using the main colours that mini use with in their advertising, black and red.

The concept was to using paint splattering from the world suggesting colour your world.
